Hey peeps, just wanna share my testimony with you all, hope it can inspire you all! =)

Most of the people in the cg did not know that i was called back to go for a selection trail for the U-23 national soccer team as it is going to represent Singapore in the Youth Olympic
Games next year, and so i passed my fitness test (Beep Test) and also pass the 1st round of selection. During the 2nd round of selection, i passed my selection but have an injury at
the right ankle, just slightly below my old injury, which was due to a horrible sliding tackle from a teammate during national team training almost a decade ago.

So just let me share what happened 10 years ago: I was scouted by the national team when i was in primary 5, and at that time i was nicknamed "Speed Wizard" and was already
holding the no. 7 jersey and already in the starting 11 and at that time the national team have not come out with the u13, u16, u18 and u21 so the youth team includes players of age
11 to 20 (a really wide range) and so on that fateful day, i received a 2 footed sliding tackle and broken both shin bones in the right leg and until now i still cannot forget the scene where
my leg (the area slightly the ankle) was swollen like an elephant's leg due to the blood that was still inside my legs and when the medical personnel raised my legs, my feet was pointing
downwards. I was sent to the hospital and the doctors were actually saying that they have to insert screws into my legs in order the keep the bones intact and i will become a cripple and
i can never walk properly nor do any sports before they inject me with anaesthetics. I thought it was all over for me but when i was still under the effects of anaesthetics, i saw my inner
self playing with the soccer ball and telling me that its not over. When i woke up after the effect wear off, i was shocked to hear the doctors telling me that there were no screws involved
even though my shin bones were crushed, twisted and broken and i was so happy that i am still able to walk and play soccer, but the doctor warned me that if the same injury happened
to me again, its over for my right leg, and it was really hard during the 2 years with the cast and crutches and physiotherapy. But when i think back now, i thanked God that He created a
miracle by saving this leg and this talent He gave me and gaving me that one more chance.

So i decided to give up on the U23's no.7 and go for the spiritual no. 7 as i know that if God did not gave me that miracle and let me become a cripple, i could not even walk, let along
going for the U23 and since God gave me that one chance, I believed that God had a greater purpose for me, my legs and my talent to serve His people and His kingdom and thus i decided
to serve Him with the talents He gave me by teaching soccer the orphans and giving them a new hope in their lives.

I saw a video (adidas advertisement) which shows about the past of a current famous soccer player Lionel Messi. He has a growth hormone problem and thus he was now only 168cm and
as such a short soccer player, it is a disadvantage especially playing against tall people, but he said something that really struck me. He said that short palyers are agile and sometimes bad
things can turn out good. I was thinking that a non-believer like him can continue to have faith even though hes not perfect, let alone us who has God as our source of strength and grace!
During cg meeting, God showed me a picture of a man struggling in a well full of water and Jesus was letting down a rope, wanting the man to hold onto the rope so that he can save us. Our
problems might be large in our eyes, but to God its nothing! He was wanting to test us on our faith towards Him with the obstacles that we are facing! We might think that God isnt helping
us when we met into problems but actually He was always there wanting to help us! He wants us to have faith in Him and fighting through the problems with His Word and with His Word, He will be able to help us and we will be able to learn our mistakes and continue to move on. We
have to continue to have faith in God and follow His destiny for us and He can take away our weaknesses and make us stronger with His grace and mercy!
