Hey peeps!! let me share something which God showed me when i was using the sketch me application in facebook.

Just now i was surfing in facebook and so came across this application called Sketch Me. It is a program which sketches our own profile picture (and its actually quite nice.), and at that moment God showed me the similarities between soul-winning and drawing a portrait of a person.

I went to Wikipedia to find out the meaning of "portrait" and thats what it said: A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.

The similarities of the 2 things is that both have a target. A person is needed in both things, just that its a lost soul in soul-winning. When drawing the portrait, the artist have to observe the features of the person (which is the same as finding the needs of the soul that we are reaching out for.), then the artist will start to draw the outline and the features of the person (which is like how we are thinking of ways to build up the relationship between us and him with God's wisdom.). The artist will then add the finishing touches to the features of the portraits (this is also the same when God starts to speak the word of season into his life and his current season through our mouth.) Finally the artist adds the colours to the portrait and the protrait is done (its just like how we meets his needs and let him feel the love of God that we also felt and colouring his life by letting him understand that even if theres no one in this world who loves him and care for him, our Heavenly Father will still love him as He is our Father, our God!).

Imagine yourself being locked in darkness and because of someone who is sent by God to send the light into the darkness and letting you see the light and the colours, the rainbow once again... Isn't it a wonderful thing? Jesus sacrified Himself on the cross, being crucified and shedding His blood on the cross is so that the people in the world will be saved form their "darkness" and see the colours, the light and the rainbow once again! It is just so wonderful, so peeps!! let us do our best to go out into the world full of darkness and lighting up the darkness in everyone's life with the light of God! =D


Hebrews 1:2-3 : ...has in these days spoken to us by His Son, by whom He has appointed heir of all things by the word of His power, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right side of the Majesty on high.

Giving your PRECIOUS to GOD

Hi friends, I just want to share an experience that I encountered last week during my work as a research assistant. This encounter made me rethink what it means to give God our ‘precious’.

My jobscope requires me to interact a lot with primary school students, particularly primary two children. At the end of our last day in one of the primary schools in the West, a little boy came up to me, looked at me with his innocent, teary eyes and said, “Teacher, this is for you.”

He passed me one of his prized pokemon cards, which he had just traded with his classmates. I looked at him, shocked and asked, “Are you sure you want to give me?” And he just nodded his head.

I was very surprised and touched with his actions because all I did in the primary school was to carry out some activities and testing on the students. I was never there to change or impact their lives! This little action made me ponder about giving our ‘precious’ to God.

Every weekend during cell group meetings and services, we often have a time of offering and giving. However, are we really giving God our precious? Our prized possessions?

Let me tell you why it is important that we really give God our precious. Because if we don’t, we may never experience God’s abundant blessings in our lives! When we give God our ‘precious’, we will touch His heart and cause Him to move in our lives out of His love for us!

When the little boy gave me his prized pokemon cards, I knew that the card meant a lot to him and it was a sacrifice to him as shown in his teary eyes. Even though I may have no need for any pokemon cards, the card that he gave me is now also precious to me. And I had a strong desire to buy lots of toys for him in response to his little gift. At that moment, I suddenly understood how God feels when we really give Him our ‘precious’.

Our God owns the whole earth and He really has no use for the money that we give to Him! Psalm 50: 10-11 says that God owns every animal of the forest and the cattle on a thousand hills; He knows every bird in the mountains and the creatures of the field are His. Why then does God still want us to give to Him our ‘precious’?

This is because when we give God our ‘precious’, the gift also becomes precious in His sight and it moves His heart. Just like our earthly father who gets touched when his little child gives him a gift, the same goes for our heavenly Father! And just like the response of our earthly father, when our heavenly Father is moved by our ‘precious’, it causes Him to have a strong desire to shower us back with more gifts, simply because He loves us so much!

Matthew 7:11 says that if our earthly father knows how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will our Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! This principle in prayer applies also to our giving. When we give God our ‘precious’, God is moved and He can’t wait to bless us back with even greater gifts than our earthly father could ever give to us.

So, are you ready to give God your ‘precious’ today?

It had been quite some time since e last post..
I was thinking what to post just now & suddenly there was an urge that I want to share what I learn from my bible study yesterday for Victorious Living, Lesson 3: Prayer & Fasting

Before I start anything, does anyone have any idea what is the main reason for fasting?
Are you fasting because someone told you or ask you to do so?
I admit that whatever I am saying can be found from the Victorious Living book…I am still learning!

DEFINITION OF FASTING: The voluntary abstaining from food for spiritual purposes. (It is not dieting or going on a hunger strike).
The primary purpose for fasting is self-humbling. It is the scriptural means, ordained by God, for us to humble ourselves before Him. It is our own responsibility to humble ourselves, and this responsibility belongs to us only and not God.
It is not according to scriptural means that “God make us humble”, but according to God’s Word for us is always, “Humble yourselves”.
Do you know that just by fasting, God’s people renounced the NATURAL to invoke the SUPERNATURAL.

Do you know that in the Old Testament, David fasted to humble himself? Ezra and the exiles fasted for God’s protection? (Ezra 8:21-23). Jehoshaphat and his people fasted for God’s deliverance? (2 Chronicles 20:2-4)? & the Jews fasted annually for God’s forgiveness & cleansing?
2 facts concerning the Day of Atonement:
i) Fasting was man’s response to God’s provision of forgiveness and cleansing
ii) That atonement was only effective for those people who accepted it through fasting.

Fasting was actually practiced by Jesus. He had to pass through 2 critical experiences before He entered His public ministry. i) He had to be filled with the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. ii) He had to fast for 40days in the desert.
In Luke 4:1-2: “Jesus, filled with the Holy Spirit, returned………”
& in Luke 4:14: “Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, & the………”
The Holy Spirit was there from the time of Jesus’ baptism onward. But it was His fasting that released the power of the Holy Spirit to flow without any hindrances through His life and ministry.
It was actually through fasting that the church leaders moved from the natural into the supernatural. Hahas that explains about Pastor Kong!!! Woah!!!!


Hey people, do you know that fasting can actually changes us??


1) The power of the Christian life is the Holy Spirit
** Key to successful Christian living!!!
-knowing how to release the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives so that we can do the things we cannot do in our own strength


There is something I like e most – “Jesus is saying: “Don’t begin to minster until the power of the Holy Spirit has come to you.” “……….The extend of what God can do through us is depends on His supernatural power being released in us and through us.


2) Problem: Our old carnal natural opposes the Holy Spirit.


Equations for you to think !!!!


Carnal nature=old nature=sinful nature=the flesh
Carnal nature = in opposition to the Spirit of God
Carnal mind=corrupt way of thinking
*Therefore, if we yield to the carnal nature, means we are opposing the Spirit of God.


3) Fasting is God’s appointer way to bring the carnal nature into subjection
We are to be controlled by God’s destiny and purpose for our life and not what our body(flesh) dictate us/ control us, to succeed in the Christian life.



Fasting can actually change history
Jonah 3:1-10 : “ Then the word of the Lord came to Jonah a second time : …….. ”
God is a very good God that He gives us 2nd chances, 3rd, 4th,5th………..never ending of chances !!!!!
He loves us so much!!!!



Joel 2:23-29
verse 28 “ And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons & daughters will prophesy,
Your old men will dream dreams,
Your young men will see visions. "
