Hey peeps!! let me share something which God showed me when i was using the sketch me application in facebook.

Just now i was surfing in facebook and so came across this application called Sketch Me. It is a program which sketches our own profile picture (and its actually quite nice.), and at that moment God showed me the similarities between soul-winning and drawing a portrait of a person.

I went to Wikipedia to find out the meaning of "portrait" and thats what it said: A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant. The intent is to display the likeness, personality, and even the mood of the person. For this reason, in photography a portrait is generally not a snapshot, but a composed image of a person in a still position. A portrait often shows a person looking directly at the painter or photographer, in order to most successfully engage the subject with the viewer.

The similarities of the 2 things is that both have a target. A person is needed in both things, just that its a lost soul in soul-winning. When drawing the portrait, the artist have to observe the features of the person (which is the same as finding the needs of the soul that we are reaching out for.), then the artist will start to draw the outline and the features of the person (which is like how we are thinking of ways to build up the relationship between us and him with God's wisdom.). The artist will then add the finishing touches to the features of the portraits (this is also the same when God starts to speak the word of season into his life and his current season through our mouth.) Finally the artist adds the colours to the portrait and the protrait is done (its just like how we meets his needs and let him feel the love of God that we also felt and colouring his life by letting him understand that even if theres no one in this world who loves him and care for him, our Heavenly Father will still love him as He is our Father, our God!).

Imagine yourself being locked in darkness and because of someone who is sent by God to send the light into the darkness and letting you see the light and the colours, the rainbow once again... Isn't it a wonderful thing? Jesus sacrified Himself on the cross, being crucified and shedding His blood on the cross is so that the people in the world will be saved form their "darkness" and see the colours, the light and the rainbow once again! It is just so wonderful, so peeps!! let us do our best to go out into the world full of darkness and lighting up the darkness in everyone's life with the light of God! =D
