what can you offer?

Hihi guys!!
I was just pondering about something...
Really thinking about how can we shine in wherever we are planted in.
The fact is, we gotta learn to be leaders in society. We should have the ability to lead
to a certain extent. Cool? Agree? Ultimately, what can we change if we don't rise to a
position which allows us to lead? (thinking point)
We don't need to be named 'leader' in order to lead.
A leader is not defined by title; a leader is defined by his character.
Once upon a time, there was a man full of vision. He gave hopeless people a cause to live for;
he was a role model for the fatherless, was focus in uniting his people, has a great vision of bringing them into prosperity. His personality and charisma won the hearts of his people.
Sounds like a good leader? Hrm...i'm talking about Hitler... LOL!!
Interestingly, in my views, Hitler was indeed a great leader. He had most of the atributes which makes a great leader. He was bold, courageous, focus, ambitious, full of vision, tactical, etc. But the only thing that went wrong was his moral values...
There was no justice, no compassion, no love, no integrity, no sincerity, no honestly/openness.
Only agression and lots of forceful actions and violent acts.
Amazingly, despite his insane beliefs, he was able to move the hearts of multitudes with his persuasive speeches. People actually believed in his ideas. His men were willing to die for him..
oh my gosh!!! (like what??!!). Youths were willing to sacrifice for him...get train and fight in the war for him.
What's the learning point?
Question: What can you offer?
What do i mean?
People followed Hitler, 'cause he offered them a dream.
He offered them hope.
He offered them security.
Friends, the world is looking for great leaders. Especially in our world today, where there seems to be a crisis in leadership...where corruption and injustice is too common.
There's never a lack of leaders....just who will be the next. Either good or bad leaders. =)
Why am i sharing this?
I believe it's time to arise and let our light shine.
One day we will step into society to work. Are we going to allow the world's system to lead us,
or we influence the world's system?
Who are the people with right moral values? YOU!! It's US!!
If we don't arise and take the leading role, we will be lead by the world.
Back to my question...WHat can you offer?
Can you be like Jesus?
Can you offer people around you a vision?
Can you inspire a dream?
Do you have courage to stand in a time of crisis?
You don't have to be named a 'leader' to take the lead.
If you can offer people around you a vision, a dream, hope...
if you have courage, integrity, compassion...people will follow you.
Because...that's what the world is looking for.
So...what do you have in you, that makes others want to follow you? =)
Hey guys, it's time to arise and take the lead, in our camps, in our schools, in our work places.
We need to have a burning desire to impart good moral values into our society.
If we don't lead...others will. There's no lack of influence...either positive or negative.
We need to realise that we have the power to transform society for the good.
Judges 9:7-15
The people asked the olive tree to lead them, but the olive tree didn't want to.
They asked the fig tree to lead them, but it didn't want to as well.
They approached the vine, but failed in their attempt.
They have no choice but to ask the bramble (thorns) to lead them.
Got it? Understand? =)
